Our ‘Luckett’s Vintage Market’ Itinerary

One of our favorite spring markets is just around the corner! Luckett’s Vintage Market is hosted every spring and fall in Berryville, Virginia and is a must-see for any interior designer or vintage lover on the East Coast. A few years back we sold Hearth + Home items as an antique vendor here, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts. The Spring Market is being held May 19-21, so be sure to grab your tickets and check out our itinerary before heading out. We’ve gathered a list of our favorite ways to spend a weekend at Luckett’s, from dining to accommodations and more!

Where to Stay : If you’re treating this weekend as a much-needed mini vacation, The Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville is the place for you. A stately bed & breakfast experience with 60 acres of gardens and forests to roam, the manor is the perfect choice if you have extra time to wander about and soak up the beautiful surroundings. With the market also located in Berryville, you’re just steps away from all of the action.

If a comfortable night’s sleep to recharge is all you’re looking for, this 1800s stone home in the center of Old Town Winchester may be more up your alley. Filled with its own antiques and vintage charm, it’s the perfect setting for a weekend of vintage treasure hunting. Settled in the historic part of Winchester, you’ll be surrounded by charming cafes and shops to pop in on your way to or from market.

Where to Roam : Whether you decide to make your accommodations in Old Town Winchester or elsewhere, this charming small town should be on your list of places to stop. We highly recommend a stroll through downtown where you’ll find centuries old architecture, cafes nestled in historic brick buildings, and dozens of independent shops.

If you’ve budgeted enough time in your stay for a day trip, just 25 miles east of Berryville is the town of Leesburg, Virginia. Leesburg is one of the larger towns near the market, so you have plenty of shopping and dining options if you’re lucky enough to spend a full day here. The quaint downtown is home to many antique stores including The Old Luckett’s Store, the original shop where Luckett’s Vintage Market all started. Just next door you’ll find the home base of another favorite market vendor, FOUNDRY.

What to Eat & Drink : If you’re looking for a bite to eat or cocktail to sip after a long day of shopping, you will likely meet other market-goers hitting these popular neighborhood digs! We’ve put together a list of town favorites in the three most popular market areas.

  • Winchester: Bonnie Blue Southern Market & Bakery, Piccadilly’s Public House & Restaurant, Roma Old Town Wood Fired Pizzeria, 50/50 Taphouse, Winchester Brew Works

  • Berryville: The Berryville Grille, Santorini Grill, Cordial Coffee Company, The Tea Cart

  • Leesburg: Goosecup, Tuscarora Mill Restaurant, Senor Ramon Taqueria, King Street Oyster Bar, Vanish Farmwoods Brewery

Favorite Vendors to Shop: Don’t forget to stop by these favorite vendors at market! Ekster Antiques is a fabulous shop for European inspired antiques and treasures. We have several of their framed portraits in our studio that we picked up from market last fall! Another must-see is FOUNDRY by Yvette Freeman. A boutique full of unique furniture and vintage curiosities, this is the spot to drool over stunning chesterfield sofas and vintage leather club chairs. If you can walk out of either shop without a new found treasure in hand, I would be impressed!

Luckett’s Vintage Market only comes twice a year, and each time we visit we discover new favorite spots to venture to. These are just a few of our favorite things to do on trips to Luckett’s whether is spring or fall. We hope this gets you excited for market and helps you plan out your weekend!
