Hearth + Home Interiors is a boutique interior design studio based in Asheville, North Carolina. Our aesthetic can be defined as “old soul interiors” as we deliver spaces that transcend trends and embrace authenticity.
With a look to the future and nod to the past, we practice patience and gain inspiration from your own adventures. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service, thorough execution and considerable attention to the ‘little things’.
The Team
Courtney Hinton
Founder & Design Principal
Courtney and her husband, Nick, moved to Asheville shortly after getting hitched from Los Angeles, CA. After some short stints doing the “Asheville Hustle” their entrepreneurial spirits pulled them both in the direction of starting their own businesses. Hearth and Home was born after Courtney worked with an interior design firm for two years and felt the call to pursue a vision for a company that incorporated her love of interiors and antiques. After the birth of her son, Jones, she decided to expand the company from a solo venture to a ever growing company of fabulous women she is proud to work alongside!
PERSONAL STYLE: If style could be personified - mine would be a Pennsylvania Dutch farm girl married to a French Aristocrat who together, pioneered out West.
Amber Baxley
Lead Designer
Before moving back to Western North Carolina, Amber spent many formative years in Charleston, SC. She graduated with a bachelors in Interior Design from Western Carolina University in 2009. After spending summer days as a young child at her friend's mom’s interior design firm in Cashiers, NC, she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up! When she is not designing spaces, you can find her merchandising her antique booth at a local antique mall and making memories with her son, Theo. She loves working with textiles and is passionate about creating spaces that are beautiful, practical and makes you feel at peace!
DESIGN ADVICE: Choose what you love and it will all come together! There are very few boundaries in design that you can't push.
Melissa Blaha
Business Administrator
Originally from Sarasota, FL, Melissa moved to Asheville from Michigan in 2006. She obtained her bachelor of Science in Accounting from UNCA in May of 2023 and is in pursuit of her CPA license. As the owner of The Tax Raven, Melissa supports Courtney and her staff at Hearth & Home with Bookkeeping, Tax, and Consulting Services. Melissa loves watching the creativity of the team and seeing the end results of their work.

Erin Pawelek
Procurement Manager
Before moving to Asheville, Erin spent a few summers in Juneau, Alaska where she met her husband. She graduated from Appalachian State with an undergraduate degree in agroecology and sustainability before going on to earn her master's degree in teaching from Lenoir Rhyne University.
Together, she and her husband have been married for ten years and share a son, Jasper, with their second on the way! They love the Asheville area and are happy to call this place home.

Hannah Regal
Social Media/Marketing Manager
Hannah grew up living all across the U.S. and currently resides in Nashville, TN with her husband. She has always been inspired by interior design and loves how the creative details of a space can impact how you act and the way you feel. Hannah started her professional design journey with Hearth + Home when she first moved to Asheville in 2019 and has enjoyed growing with the business and learning the industry through different roles. In her free time, she loves trying out new coffee shops, seeing live music, and treasure hunting at thrift and antique shops.
SECOND HOME GOALS: Tuscany Italy Farmhouse, Desert Adobe, or a Beach front Bungalow
